New Year's Eve 2017

Logan & Dylan,
Well your mom and dad have almost survived 4 full weeks with you.  It's been good you are healthy and our alarm clock for feedings.  We are up every 3 hours feeding, burping, changing, pumping and then repeat in 2 hours.  Your grandparents finally returned home to give us all some time to bond.  It's certainly been a whirlwind of a month.  I'm not even sure where the time goes.  I have no concept of time I look up and it's 4pm already and I have yet to have a cup of coffee.  You boys are perfect though and I wouldn't trade anything.  Dylan you are already determined at only a few weeks old.  Logan you are quiet and calm.  We took some newborn photos of you again another 3 hours since I didn't think we got the right photos the first time around.  You were patient and cooperative.  I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful pictures.  We are just going to relax tonight.  Your dad is watching IU vs Louisville basketball game.  We finally have a chance to watch a little T.V..  I think we should probably be catching up on some sleep, but it is NYE.  We are looking forward to ringing in the new year with you guys.  I thought 2016 was a pretty spectacular year, but I have a feeling that 2017 just may be even better.

Love,
Mommy

Logan & Dylan's First Christmas 2016

December 25, 2016

Logan & Dylan,
Today is your first Christmas.  The last 2 weeks and 5 days have already been a whirlwind for us.  Logan you were born at 2:14pm on 12/6/16 weighing 5 lbs 4 oz  18" long.  Dylan you were born at 2:17pm on 12/6/16 weighing 5 lbs 12 oz 19" long.

It's hard to believe that I carried you for 10 months and now here you are in my arms.  You are absolutely perfect in every way.  Your noses, mouths, eyes, ears, fingers & toes are perfect.   To think I was scared to have children all of the fear is gone and replaced with excitement, desire to learn, love and enjoy this new journey that God has given us to be your parents.  I only hope I can do a good job at raising you boys to be kind, honest, wonderful little people over the next 18 years.

In the last 2 weeks and 5 days I have learned that sleep is not important as it once was.  I've learned  what a great gift I've been given to be your mommy and take care of your every need.  Although it's overwhelming at times, it's very gratifying to know that I was able to care and provide for you not only while you were in utero, but even now that you are in this world with us.

We love you so very much already,
Love Mommy and Daddy.
